Traded in some gear.
I bought a Fuji x pro 1 a few months ago and bought some lenses to go with it, turns out I’m not a fan of the range finder style camera. So I traded in the lenses for this pretty decent Nikon z50 with a 16-50 lens. Pretty stoked on it so far after shooting a couple shots today.

Tamron 35-150mm f/2–2.8 for everyday and travel?
Tl;dr: Tamron 35-150mm f/2–2.8 as a one kind of a lens – everyday and travel, or nah-nah?
I currently use a Nikon Z50 with a not-so-ideal mix of lenses: the kit Z 16-50mm, the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 G2, the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 G2, and the Sigma 150-600mm (both via FTZ). I picked up the full-fram

Is Nikon Z50 II better than Canon R50 bundle for a beginner?
I can't speak for the Canon; I shoot full frame Z bodies, 80-90% corporate/industrial video and some corporate stills/product shoots. The little Z50ii is my little gimbal monster though - it punches way above its weight/price. Nikon simply didn't cripple the thing in any meaningful way. It lacks in-

Nikon Z50 50-250mm Kit
For my 21st birthday my family generously purchased the Z50 kit with the 50-250mm and 16-50mm lenses. Being new to photography but having a passion for it I dipped my toes in everything from plants and insects to aviation and cars. This kit has to be one of the greatest experiences of my life being

Some astrophotography with the Z50
Thought I'd post these astrophotography images of the neighbouring Andromeda galaxy and the slowly departing bright comet Tsuchinshan Atlas I captured recently.
These were both captured using a basic startracker and the Nikon Z50.
The optics were a 440mm focal length doublet refractor telescope fo

German Waterfall
First try at focus stacking
Thought I’d share this stack of four images I did yesterday.
I took the pictures with my Nikon Z50 at 135mm, ISO100, f5.3, 3s.
It is my very first try at focus stacking ever. The stack itself was done in Affinity Photo 2 on iPad. Since I‘m currently switching from Li

Back to Nikon! Prepare to see the worst photos taken with a Z8
Nearly 3 years ago I switched to Sony A7iii from a Nikon z50. The reasons were many, but mostly that there were no affordable fast zooms, be it 1st or 3rd party.
Now things have changed, and the Z mount has not only great native glass, but also some of my favorites from E mount. Unfortunately, Son

My first night shots with my Z50
Enjoyed my second photography for beginners class last night, and although it was dark we picked up some great long exposure shots of the waterfall at a canal basin. Second time ever using my new digital camera (Nikon Z50) instead of my Phone and so far I'm enjoying it.
My shots aren't too bad, I d

Day 1 of learning photography… and doing it in hard mode.
Having spent far too much time watching YouTube videos on photography and zero time actually getting to know my camera, I decided today was the day to stop procrastinating and leave my iPhone in my pocket in favour of using my new Nikon z50 w/ 16-55mm kit lens. For added difficulty I decided to only
