Here is your annual (weekly? daily? hourly?) reminder that the Neumann KH120 and KH80 exist. The KH120 is ideal but out of your budget. JBL 308P MKII would be my budget choice for this. We can talk anecdotes and opinions all day. If you look at the EBU Tech paper section 2.2, they specify to 40 Hz. The KH80 is -4 dB at 55 Hz. I use linsoul zero iems and find them as good or better as any $100 headphones. For speakers, the Neumann kh80 are great, especially when you get them used.

Neumann KH80 - best bang for Buck. Get the MA1 if you can; you won’t get anythng close to this honesty and quality of sound in that price range. Also you have the option to later upgrade to KH750 Subwoofer to get a full range system. (You should definitely get some bass traps for that though)

Neumann are owned by Sennheiser. I've a pair of KH80's and they're amazing for music production and mixing. I love them for casual listening too, but they're definitely overkill for that!
