This brand is honestly a total letdown. The quality is absolute garbage. I hope nobody ever buys from you again. You're going to fail sooner or later

Netgear / Orbi is possibly the worst garbage you can find in mesh wifi systems. I had to return an Orbi 870. Never looked back

Orbi AC3000 will be End Of Service within 45 Days

Crazy. I'm surprised because your Netgear Orbi AX5700 (RBK842) was released around October 2019. I have a set of eero Pro 5 purchased in 2019 still running. Looks like they'll continue providing security updates for at least another 4 years through March 2030 (https://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/artic

What wifi router do people use

I use Ubiquity Unifi gear since I’ve used it for almost 10 years. Netgear Orbi is a high quality product, Eero is probably ok too. More a question of how big your space is, is there a way to hardwire access points etc. The standard Verizon router may be totally fine for a small space.

Possible Orbi RBR50 issues. Considering upgrading.

I’ve been using an RBR50 with two satellites for about 5 years, the Netgear firmware would have the wifi go down randomly and weird glitches. In searching for other firmware I came across Voxel’s firmware which runs latest versions of individual code on the router and opens up to additional function

Recommendations on WiFi mesh for old building?

I use TP-Link Deco units, and they work fine. A mate has Netgear Orbi units and they work well too in his old house but the units were too large for my liking. The Deco app is pretty good and has the usual features you would expect - guest wifi, device blocking etc and you can connect wired devices

WIFI working, but cannot log into Orbi app or web app

Not that I am aware of. I took the plunge last weekend, sucked but Im back to normal. This is a dropped ball by Netgear/Orbi and makes me really rethink my next networking system purchase.

What to do? RBR50/40/30/20 and Satellites at end of life

I’ve decided to add an Edge Router and keep my RBR50 and RBS20 running the latest available Netgear firmware … at least for another 1-2 years. Voxel software is not an option for me because its not available for the RBS20. I just need to decide on the edge router and then change my RBR50 to run in A

Game Over Netgear

I just switched over from a couple of RBR50 Orbis last month. They were indeed very solid. Seeing the crazy prices and limited features of Netgear's current stuff drove me to a Firewalla router and some Unifi access points.

Aging router upgrade advice

I setup a netgear orbi mesh system at my uncles house dual story about 3500sq/f. 1 router and 2 orbi dishes its a great system and its been running at my uncles since 2013 and still working great. We get service to his mailbox and all his barns around his farm. https://www.netgear.com/home/wifi/mesh

Wireless routers!

I work in tech, and since these Wi-Fi 7 routers use NAND and DDR4, the price increase for them will feel justified. You always pay a premium for new tech, and these Orbi models are essentially the 'luxury' versions of Netgear. The price makes sense because, unlike other mesh systems, these are three
