What’s actually the best CPU for gaming right now?

I really went for it with the msi MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 27-inch. I figure i won't be buying another monitor down the road for the next tower. Up from a modest 1080p 144hrz, I've yet to not be impressed by the visuals of every game I play. It does the hardware justice.

CPU Upgrade

yeah the difference between 7800x3d -> 9800x3d will be only a few fps, legit not noticeable, an OLED is a super noticable upgrade, plus a 1440p OLED looks better IMO compared to a 4k IPS - and a nice glossy panel will offer 4k-like clarity. I'd do some looking into WOLED vs QD-OLED and what works be

Opinions on a $2000+ Gaming PC?

You can get better performance for less cost - some of your parts are expensive for no benefit in games, with less expensive as good if not better alternatives. Suggestions below that upgrade the GPU to a 5080 and a higher refresh rate QD-OLED 1440p monitor for $200 less. The CPU and motherboard are

First PC

Here is what I'd do:https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6k2ZR4 you can save money also my bringing the CPU down to a 9800x3d or a 7800x3d - both are great options if you do 3d modeling as a part of game dev, swap the GPU and pay the Nvidia tax for a 5070ti:https://pcpartpicker.com/product/8VcBD3/msi-shado

Has anyone switched from a matte IPS to a matte OLED?

Okay, so I went in person to a retail store to see what QD-OLED (MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2) and Matte QD-OLED (Samsung Odyssey G6) were like. I must say, the difference in coatings was even crazier than I expected. The matte coating blocks out light very well (given that it was a store, there were a

Rate my list and say what level it’s on!

As I said I would not suggest 4k - it's so demanding you will have to upgrade your system very often to keep up, or at the very least heavily rely on DLSS and frame gen on more demanding games. I really just don't think it's worth it. A 1440P OLED's cost isn't too far off (if not cheaper) than a sta

Upgrade : What monitor should I get?

Definitely go with OLED. It's just a matter of your preference after that. 1440p OLED, great for 200+ Hz gaming. Good for a mix of competitive shooters and AAA games - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/BR7scf/msi-mag-271qpx-qd-oled-e2-265-2560-x-1440-240-hz-monitor-mag-271qpx-qd-oled-e2 1440p ultrawi
