I have 1000$ to spend on a handheld - what should I buy

Gosh man, people still recommending the steam deck is a little frustrating. He has 1000 dollars, and can easily afford something with far, far more performance than a steam deck but nope. For OP, I would recommend the Xbox ally x or MSI claw 8ai+

Xbox Rog ally x disappointment

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. He already owns MSI Claw 8 AI+ which is amazing device. Why would he bother to get Xbox Ally X in his case??

Billbil-Kun: Xbox Rog Ally releases October 16

Poorly, just like all the other Ally units. Asus, MSI et all are iterating too much and flooding the market with units that all sorts of compromises. It confuses the average buyer - and you need their dollars for this concept to become a big enough hit to matter. Valve did it right. Keep the platfor

Selling my RX 9060xt for RM 1.6k

Unless your dad plans to buy you a laptop for your university/college studies, think you should just get a laptop or a laptop alternative. It is super useful for your studies and can do some gaming. You will need a laptop for group assignments anyway. Getting a portable thermal printer is also very

Is the steam deck way better than I think it is?

The term "better" is so broad, but the pros of Steam Deck are: light and portable OLED screen sleep button works like a charm good support for Steam So, this is a very good device for: Busy people/ parents over 30s: dont have stamina/energy for long PC session, need sleep/quick resume button because

Comparing the ROG Xbox Ally X to other handhelds. Does it compete with the higher end or lower end matket [Strictly Performance Only; Don’t look at Value]

Comparing to what? Xbox Rog Ally X will be using Z2 Extreme chip with some AI features, we'll see what kind of software support the AI features will have but that's mostly a semi empty promise in my opinion. Z2 Extreme is the common high end APU chip and you'll find the same chip in the legion go 2,

The price of the Legion Go 2 has doubled in Europe

It is nowhere even close to being worth this amount and people are crazily paying this much for it. Had it, loved it, but dammit, the fans were so loud. Even with software tweaks it was twice as loud as my MSI Claw 8 running full speed. Went back to the Claw and don't regret it.

Which is the better handheld PC? - ROG Xbox Ally X vs MSI Claw 8 Al+ Owner Review

I didn't even consider Xbox Ally X because of only 7" screen and 800-900 € price. So when I got a chance to get msi claw for 630, I didn't hessitate. Amazing handheld! Are you gonna keep both and why?

Give it to me straight - what’s the consensus on Steam Deck OLED?

There are a lot of people who describe magical properties to the Steam deck. Its a great all in one device. It doesn't come close to the power of any of the Z1e handhelds, and it's absolutely eclipsed by the Intel 258v and Z2e. I bought an MSI Claw 8 before the price hikes. 899 to 649. The extra $25

MSI skips RDNA 4 and will not manufacture AMD Radeon 9000-series GPUs

From randomly unlaunching their amd gpus to their ex ceo giving an interview sayin that they can't sell amd laptops because "intel is our friend and that would be like betraying intel", and taking intel's funding to launch the msi claw (which was a disaster on meteor lake), msi has never been a good
