Is the Steam Deck OLED Worth Getting This Late in the Game?

I bought one recently and I'd say so. The thing is that while more powerful devices are coming out the performance ceiling for these things is still very low. At least in comparison to consoles and even full desktop PCs when you get to the more expensive ones like the ROG Ally X and the latest model

Is the legion go 2 price now justifiable based off the competitors?

Legion Go 2 price came out and everyone bumped up the prices of their devices. ROG Ally X release price was $799, is now priced at $899. Legion Go release price was $699 is now priced at $749 MSI Claw 8 AI+release price was $899 is now priced at $1,149 Usually when a device comes out and it ages the

Steamdeck alternative for current AAA games

The Deck runs a four-core Zen 2 CPU. The Go S has two SKUs, the Z2 Go has a four-core Zen 3+ CPU whereas the Z1 Extreme variant has an eight-core Zen 4, so it's already far better than the Deck. You could also get some of the alternate Z1 Extreme devices, such as the Legion Go, ROG Ally, or the ROG

Aussie Aussie Aussie! r1p price.

Either they were on drugs, or they missed the ones they were supposed to take. $999.99 already felt overpriced for a gaming handheld, but $1,350 is just ridiculous. In my region, MSI Claw a8 cost $830 USD, so if I need to buy Z2E handheld, I would buy a8 instead

OLED isn’t that great..

Ive been trying to explain this to people for the longest. Everyone bangs on about OLED is the greatest thing ever. Well my lego2 side by side with my MSI claw 8ai+ looks pretty much the same. Of course the blacks are better on an OLED. But can we really justify the price increase for better black l

Leaks for new claw

This, I know people that found Steam Deck prices fine and anything below 800 euro acceptable. Friend of mine got a MSI Claw 8 AI+ for 850 euro a while ago and said "this is the top of what these things are worth, otherwise a gaming notebook of even a desktop make more sense". And I agree, got my Ste

How likely is it that I could sell my like-new Steam Deck OLED and make enough to nearly cover the cost of a better device?

It's not worth it anymore at its current price. Legion Go 2, MSI Claw A8, and Xbox Ally X all have the Z2 extreme in them.

UK price increases have landed.

That's crazy. I'll just stick with my Go 1, but at the same time I don't know how they can justify a grand more than the Xbox Ally X and MSI Claw A8, they're practically the same hardware besides the screen..
