I have 1000$ to spend on a handheld - what should I buy

Gosh man, people still recommending the steam deck is a little frustrating. He has 1000 dollars, and can easily afford something with far, far more performance than a steam deck but nope. For OP, I would recommend the Xbox ally x or MSI claw 8ai+

Bestbuy is tripping

What I dont understand is how come ally x or msi claw not going up in price but lenovo handhelds is. Is there anything special about the legion handhelds? I have a msi claw 8 ai and it can run everything on par and sometimes better than legion go 2 for almost half the price.

Got caught up in the hype. Defects and other available handhelds brought me back to reality

I plan to grab the MSI claw 8 AI+ when it hits BestBuy on 10/7. Still 8inch screen, so bigger than my Ally. And all the benchmarks point to a nice increase in performance. Battery is also bigger and more efficient using the intel chip. All at $350 cheaper than the LeGo2.

Xbox Ally vs Xbox Ally X

At the top end handheld performance. Xbox ally x and msi claw 8 ai+ are the champs for the money. That much power in a small portable space is going to be expensive. Xbox ally doesnt make much sense unless on sale since there are so many AAA it cannot play. XAX also has NPU for operating system leve

I want to buy the legion go with a Z2 go processor and steam os but the reviews have scared me away

dont. especially not at that price point. The Z2go is a slightly better Z1 basically. its performance is better than the steam deck, and you can think of it as an upgraded steam deck. The Z1e is what you want to aim for or higher, being the Z2E or even the MSI claw's 8AI+, those are currently the be

Steam Deck OLED You want to play Call of Duty, Destiny, mostly multiplayer games and the newest triple A releases? ROG Ally X You want to do the above but also want a huge screen and don't mind paying way more

OK seriously bro, there is no other that can compete. If u look in my past posts u will see that I have had all the handhelds, the claw 8, xax, Lego S and BY FAR the go2 is the best. At 12gb vram it handles BO7 and BF 6 on med-high with 144hz smoothness W/o being plugged in!! 🤯 😶 no words, I can't

At 12gb vram it To be fair, last I checked the MSI claw 8ai+ allocated up to 16-18gb of Vram due to MSI's more generous dynamic memory allocation whereas I think Lenovo does more conservative 8-12gb levels. u look in my past posts u will see that I have had all the handhelds, the claw 8, xax, Lego S

Which handheld would you choose with these prices?

Msi claw 8ai. Its the most powerful on this list and it's chipset is the 370 hx equivalent. Plus 900 for that is really good.

Is the Steam Deck OLED Worth Getting This Late in the Game?

I bought one recently and I'd say so. The thing is that while more powerful devices are coming out the performance ceiling for these things is still very low. At least in comparison to consoles and even full desktop PCs when you get to the more expensive ones like the ROG Ally X and the latest model
