That's good to hear. I don't use it myself (I use Mullvad), but knowing they operate on Mullvad servers made it a decent recommendation in my eyes. I actually do think I am technically subscribed to Mozilla VPN because I pay them for Mozilla Monitor, so maybe I will give it a try. I mainly subscribe

No! The Firefox VPN is just a basic proxy run by Fastly Inc. The Mozilla VPN is a real VPN from Mullvad. That is why I'm so annoyed about this. They intentionally try to take some of the trust they got on the better product, and try to bring this trust to a cheaper service that doesn't deserve it.

The article mentions "Mozilla-managed VPN servers", so I guess Mullvad had nothing to do with it. The branding looks similar to Mozilla VPN. This will be confusing...

Mullvad publishes source code for the client and server side and has an auditing process to verify they're actually running the published code on the server side. Mullvad is the only one that I trust. Mozilla Monitor is a good replacement for the other data broker removal services, and it comes bundled with Mozilla VPN which operates on the Mullvad servers.

Mozilla VPN is a white label version of Mullvad. Mullvad is a good company, but Mozilla is an ad company. It's probably better to buy direct from Mullvad.

Yeah, they are reselling Mullvad for a little more to generate revenue for Mozilla, and branding it Mozilla VPN. I don't use Mullvad, I use ProtonVPN myself, but it's one of the reputable VPNs. So it's kind of a donation to Mozilla and getting a VPN in return more or less.
