Recommendation for Proxmox Server

Minisforum MS-01 Why this over the MS-A2? This has intel iGPU great for plex emby etc. Also you can use SR-IOV and slice the iGPU up and pass a slices to different VMs. You can do this with the AMD iGPU. I this box you get 3xNVMe 2xSFP+ Low profile PCIe slot (great for small gpu or HBA and run a who

Comunitate homelab romania

Proxmox server

Depends on the size you want it. But thr minisforum ms-01 or the ms-a2 would be sufficient for the ram size and storage

Low Power, lower performant, quiet, enterprise-ish class server lines

for hyper-v with a handful of DCs and light VMs, three tiers that all stay quiet: top pick: Minisforum MS-01. i13900H or i9-13900H, dual 10GbE + dual 2.5GbE, dual m.2 NVMe + one u.2 slot, takes 96GB DDR5 SO-DIMM. idles around 15W, ramps to 40W under actual load. ~$700 barebones or $1100 with 32GB/1T

Is a base M4 Mac Mini for a Plex server a waste of money? Or even crazier, the Gabe Cube?

If you're gonna splurge anyway, get the minisforum ms-01. It's not that much bigger and you get 4 Intel nics, with 2 of them being 10gbit sfp+ ports, 3 nvme slots and a pcie slot.

Beginner SE homelab advice – compact, low-power server for heavy VMs (+ future NAS)

Minisforum MS-01 for the win! I’m also a cybersecurity SE for an OEM and I run a hefty proxmox on one of these. 64GB DDR5, Intel 12900, only have two NVMes in it currently but you can put 3 or 4 I think? Feel free to PM me with your questions and happy homelabing!

NAS

Anyone experience connection issues with the Beelink S12 Pro Mini PC & the Terramaster D6-320?

I ended up finding a Minisforum MS-01 with the i5-12600H locally for super cheap and it works great! The Terramaster is connected to the USB port and everything is good so far. All I did to upgrade was move my nvme drives over and connected my USB devices (and turned off Secure Boot) and everything

Suggestions for budget mini PC build for TrueNAS.

Assuming you want all NVMe storage, the MINISFORUM MS-01-S1260 fits your requirements. Dual SFP+ ports, so you'd need to get an RJ-45 SFP+ Transceiver. 3 NVMe m.2 2280 slots.

What free software is so good you can't believe it's free?

Yeah, so much mileage out of still-good, but older hardware!! I like running an Ubuntu VM with Docker in Proxmox. One of my favorite business builds: Minisforum MS-01 i9 barebones (~$650 USD) 128GB RAM (used to be $500 lol) 3x 8TB NVMe SSD's (used to be $800 lol) @ 2x ZFS mirror boot + 1x replicatio
