The minisforum g1 pro is also 3.8L and packs a desktop 5060, an 8945hx (16/32 zen4 cores) and 32GB RAM and is selling for ~$1450. Sure, its ~$100 more than the 2tb model, but just the extra RAM alone is worth ~$200, so there's really no excuse for valve IMO

I bought this a couple months ago instead of the steam machine. And run CS2 on high / max with varying speeds and I'm super happy. I'm sure you could get windows to boot straight into steam if you wanted. Also running forza horizon 6 at like almost ultra and average 50fps which I think is solid too.
