Can we consider this a laptop now?

What are the specs? I'm still feelin' more of a tablet gadget vibe, with an attachable keyboard accessory. Surface Sumo, as compared to the svelte surface pro, and the downright underfed surface go. Laptop, to me, means "Clamshell body'.

Surface Pro 12” vs 13”

You shouldn't get one of these just because of the violet color. Microsoft's pictures are misleading. I have the 12" in violet and it's a very subtle almost bluish shade. I thought it was gray at first. Here is a picture with my grey Surface Go on the left and the violet Surface 12" on the right. Ta

Are new Thinkpads worth it?

I have two chipped top teeth - and one of those stories involves a convertable tablet, and a slightly unsteady grip. There are few things more horrifying than battering ones self in the jaw with an xp era HP tablet convertable thingee that was being held aloft to watch......something or other, while

SP12" mini review

For me it's also the selection of tablet-centric apps on the iPad. I read lots of PDFs and ePubs. Readdle's PDF Expert and Apple Books are pretty much the best in class on any platform, but not available on Windows. I won't miss using the cramped iPad Pro 11 keyboard; it was as small as the Surface

Engineering laptops

The tech loan program is great for some students! It does not have laptops though and the tablets are not up to spec for engineering, as OP is asking about. Like, the Surface Go 3 is lightweight and ideal for taking notes, but with only two cores and max 8 GB RAM, it’s not going to be great for the

Surface Go 2 - tell me what to do?

I bought the version with a keyboard and stylus for this tablet, but it only took me a few minutes after setting it up to decide to return it. Firstly, I can't edit my spreadsheets. I store a few spreadsheets on OneDrive, which I access from my Surface and PC via LibreOffice – my usage doesn't justi

surface pro 12 appreciation

Got one a 512GB one with keyboard and pen used but in mint condition for $500 (still under warranty). It's finally in a size that makes sense as tablet (my Surface go is great in term of size, but slow, with modest battery life and poor speakers, and the keyboards is cramped)

So no more Surface Go tablets...what now?

I'm going travel soon, and that was the initial reason I bought the Surface Go 1. I'm disappointed they aren't continuing the line. A small PC like the Go with a file system is so much better to me than a tablet, Samung or Apple. I was considering the 12" as a replacement, but it's still heavier. I

NxtPaper 11+: Writing Experience?

We're thinking along the same lines; My only tablet I have experience with is an ancient Surface Go; form factor was great, and when it was new, it wrote well for OneNote purposes. Now though, that system crawls (processor spec was miserable); rather than get another Surface device, I figured it wou

Original Surface Go - 4GB-64GB good enough for Office?

Ok. I need a portable one that has Microsoft 365. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad 10 Windows Tablet, but I'm giving it away soon. It is even slower than the Surface Go, but it's fine because I only use it on the go. I have a powerful laptop ThinkPad T14s Gen 2 at home where I do the office works.
