Why Aren't Mathias Boards More Popular?
I really liked the feel and sound of my Ergo Pro, but it had terrible keychatter and occasional missed keys. I'd hit "e" and get nothing at all sometimes, and "eeeeeeee..." others. Their customer service was friendly, but it was out of warranty so I moved on. And they've had a "group buy" for a 60%

Best keyboard for a newbie
For a noob, I recommend getting a keyboard that’s just split. Many of the keyboards others have recommended are minimalist and/or columnar. The actual number and/or arrangement of the keys is different. This requires more adjustment and can lead to frustration. You may want one eventually, but I don

Mouse and keyboard suggestions for cubital tunnel, carpal tunnel, RSI, and tennis elbow? (BB / Amazon)
This can be a difficult question to answer because different features are important depending on what causes your pain. For the mouse: If forearm pronation, turning the palm down causes pain and the Logitech vertical helps, but doesn’t resolve it, then you might try the Evoluent Mouse, which is more

Used Ergodox EZ vs a new iris?
Between those two, I’d say go for the Ergodox. More keys means an easier transition. And that is a good deal. But the Ergodox is still a columnar board. For true newbies, I recommend a keyboard that is just like a regular, staggered keyboard, but split in two. Consider Kinesis Freestyle Pro or Matia

Looking for ergonomic advice to optimize my standing desk + screen set up
For a beginner you could get a keyboard that’s just split, with a standard layout, Matias Ergo Pro or Kinesis Freestyle Pro or Kinesis Freestyle 2 are more like standard office keyboards. There are others on Amazon. It kind of depends on what features are important to you. There are also a lot of ex

Microcenter was selling their last Matias Ergo Pro for around $110. I love my Tactile Pro so much that I decided to jump on it as my first ergo keyboard. 20 minutes in, I am loving it! I am just dreading if the switches start chattering.
I am 2 years into using this keyboard and so far I have had very very few issues. There was a couple of times where a key would keep repeating, but I just had to mash the key repeatedly to fix it. I was quite impressed that its held up so far. But I still fear that the chattering may get really bad.

Work keyboard recommendations
Matias Ergo Pro is what I use for work computer. It is wired, it has very limited built in rebinding (three bonus keys on left hand side, one on right hand side) but no qmk/zmk/flashing. It is split and tentable (by default, you don't need any stands, it has pretty neato little legs that allow both
