Do most people actually need a high end camera for streaming anymore?
Hell no I made partner with a Logitech c920 I bought at Sam’s Club on sale lol In my opinion, audio matters waaay more. Hell I’ll watch someone with a 720p resolution webcam and dim lighting as long as their mic is good If they got a $1,000 camera with amazing lighting and perfect color balance, but

What home office webcam would you recommend in 2026?
I've been using the Logitech C920s for a couple of years now and it’s still the gold standard for under $100.

Best webcam under $120 for someone with lots of meetings
The Logitech c920 is great as someone else said. I also like the Razer kylo (I think it is called). It has software so you can really work the image. The C920 is just plug and play and works. I would also recommend an 8 in ring light if your office is not already super bright. You can spotlight you

Streaming Setup.... which OBS?
Decent webcams are really affordable these days, too. Logitech C920 is a model from like 10 years ago, but affordable now and is still being produced. It’s the one I’ve been using since 2015 to stream and still has GREAT quality.

Webcam upgrade mod?
Webcam upgrades are pretty much impossible on any normal laptop, including your ProBook 450 G5. The module is glued in, the cable is proprietary, and the BIOS only recognizes the stock one no drop-in better parts exist. I think u could just grab a cheap external USB webcam like a Logitech C920 or ev

WFH desk setup recommendation
For Excel-heavy work I’d definitely go with something like a 34–38" ultrawide and keep one of the 24" monitors in portrait mode for email or docs. That combo tends to work really well for spreadsheets and screen sharing. For standing desks, Fully Jarvis and Uplift are both solid and have good cable

Best Webcam for the Money in 2026?
Picked up the Logitech C920 two years ago after burning through two cheap webcams; best $70 on my setup. Handles low light better than anything in this range. Still add a cheap ring light if your room is dark - that combo beats a $200 webcam every time. Window behind you or no natural light at all?

Whats a budget friendly camera one can buy for streaming especially if you move around alot?
IMO, a good upgrade would be something like a Logitech C920, it's classic 1080p webcam, very affordable and reliable. Depending on your budget, consider the Logitech MX Brio, 4K webcam with better detail and low-light performance.Lower price, Logitech Brio 100, cheap and easy to use. Hope this helps

Is a bad webcam better than none?
The Logitech C920 is a very good cheap camera. I have used it for my whole streaming career (even made it to partner) with no problems with it basically at all. And it is cheap. I think it is like 50USD maybe 70 but it is something that is "so old" that it goes on sale often.

WFH desk setup recommendation
i hit this exact wall when i upgraded last year. for the ultrawide, a 34 to 38 is a sweet spot for splitting excel sheets without feeling too massive. honestly, you can find solid options in the $400-600 range now. for the desk, i'd check out uplift or fully brands if cable management is key - their
