Hell no I made partner with a Logitech c920 I bought at Sam’s Club on sale lol In my opinion, audio matters waaay more. Hell I’ll watch someone with a 720p resolution webcam and dim lighting as long as their mic is good If they got a $1,000 camera with amazing lighting and perfect color balance, but

you mainly need good image quality + reliable autofocus. Look for logitech c920/c922 or yolocam or j5create 360 cam. These are kinda the standard and just work without issues. and j5 have a 360 view if u move around and all. Just keep an eye on autofocus & exposure control for good streaming

For play I like Table Top simulator personally (I haven’t tried spell table) and you don’t need a camera to play so if you want one just for chatting Logitech C920 works fine for me

i like the logitech c920. in some interviews i’ve put it on a small tripod and placed it right in front of the monitor so that i can look right at them instead of up/down. something like this

Get yourself a Logitech Webcam C920 2016 or 2012 model, not from 2019 and onward cause they don't have the funny mic effect.
