I had a brand new Dell Pro Plus laptop that was stuck at low clock speeds out of the box. Nothing I did would change it. It tools hours to install a clean copy of Windows. All the diagnostics passed. I eventually had Dell replace the motherboard and it fixed it. I’ve seen the same thing on an LG Gra

Great laptop but reliability isn't great on that model. The backlight LEDs are (like all laptops) heavily over-driven to give eye-catching brightness. Their light degradation and color shift over time are pronounced. Translation: a used Gram 17" laptop will have an LCD display that is significantly

Its is the same for me. The touchpad of my 5 Year old Huawei Laptop is working perfekt. The one of my Lg Gram 17 is stuck frequently. I don't think the touchpads on the Gram 17 are exactly the best feature of these laptops, and in my case, I can sometimes only work using Alt+Tab or the power button.

I have a 17" Gram that I purchased from Costco during early Covid pandemic--2020 or so. Its model number is 17Z990. I think the battery is dead because when I boot up the computer on AC power it will backlight the keyboard and briefly make a familiar screen image, but the screen image and backlight

I bought a 17-inch LG Gram with an i7 155H processor. It had a heating problem, so I sold it after 3 months of use. LG was disappointing to me, despite being very lightweight.

I just posted this: https://www.reddit.com/r/LGgram/comments/1l6r3ow/lg_gram_pro_17_2025_beyond_insulting_thermal/ How did you actually measure "sustained power" and what do you actually mean by that, given that the power limits are TL1=45W and TL2=64W (encforced via bios)? You guys who add (thick) therma

Yes, once you access the advanced bios settings (press ctrl+alt+shift+f7). You can also change the thermal throttling limits as well as reduce the power limits. You cannot increase the power limits though (45W and 64W for TL1 and TL2), which is what I wanted; the advanced bios settings allows settin

Thank you for the explanation :) I had no idea about the model numbers. Yeah I'm absolutely not buying directly from LG, their warranty is complete rubbish compared to other retailers. Are you happy with it? I've seen other users complain about the thermal paste and a few other quality issues. My 20

Is LG reliable for keeping drivers up to date? I agree with the guy below who says they're a bit 'lazy' with them. But I can't say I've had problems with the original drivers. More importantly, will I have issues using the newest driver from Intel? Will LG or Windows updates keep pace? I wouldn't be

On mine I don't use Chrome, I use Vivaldi (Chromium based). I do not have any issues with Vivaldi, but M$ Teams and Outlook both have serious lag every once in a while. Like if I go to Teams and try to scroll the chat list, it freezes up for a couple seconds. Outlook does the same thing if I scroll
