Would be great to now have a comparison with Apple Intelligence turned off. It bothers me that M2 Air is now the least-lasting computer on Tahoe.

Man, if I’m being honest I did it for the high. I’m kind of a facebook marketplace junkie. I recently bought an open box MacBook Air M2 for $500 when they rarely ever fall below $750 (tax included).

Pathetic 8GB - I don't know about that. Our MacBook Air m2 with 8GB was working well enough for me to cut a 35 min documentary with raw footage in Davinci resolve. I was really impressed how well Apple's memory management works. Even having Photoshop open besides it was no problem. I did have to clo

Its not really a plastic screen thing. Most normal gentle cleaning liquids/water/alcohol/what-have-you don’t work with 99% of wiping clothes available. Only very, very specific wiping clothes at just the right dampness seem to work. In my years of using tech I’ve never encountered a more finicky scr

For one, I also have a good desktop, so the real answer to the question is what machine do I have with me at the time I need it? And the macbook is almost always with me and available. Its lighter, has far better battery life, actually stays charged in my bag (the last part is key, Im sure there are

If you want a CD drive you’re going to get an absolute relic of a MacBook. They stopped selling those around 2016. It’s also hard to recommend anything but an Apple Silicon based one, since the leaps in performance since M1 have been outstanding. While it might not have all the ports you want, an M1

"It's something I've been waiting for for a long time, and it's finally reality, thanks to the Asahi team," writes Torvalds. "We've had arm64 hardware around running Linux for a long time, but none of it has really been usable as a development platform until now." Torvalds runs Linux on his MacBook

My mom used a 2008 MacBook Pro until last year when the display finally broke after several big drops. Got her an M2 Air and I’m sure it will last another 10-12 years for her, if she doesn’t break it.
