How to disable ACR on your TV (and why you shouldn't wait to do it)

I absolutely despise smart TV's. I just want a beautiful dumb OLED panel. For my LG C2, I had to accept the voice recognition terms of use to be able to see the option to disable that feature. TV OS's are spyware.

What in the world happened to audio in modern movies??

Too true. I tell people my 65” LG C2 was $2.5k brand new when I got it (I got it for $1.5k open box though 🤫), and they swear their $500 77” UHD Toshiba is better because bigger and cheaper. Like… what? And when I try to show/explain to them the difference, they don’t have time for all that and tryi

OLED isn't a deal breaker.

what do you see when you look at that big TV on your wall? A 77in LG C2 OLED. I'm still going to buy a Switch 2, and I'm going to love it because, like you said, it's definitely not a deal breaker. I get that an LCD keeps the price down, but I think it's ridiculous that it's not an OLED. I'd rather

Not sure if I regret buying an OLED monitor.

That's why I use LG C2 as my PC monitor. It just looks better than any gaming specific monitor out there. I guess 120 Hz refresh rate is the only downside, but it's not like my 4070 Ti can push more than 120 FPS at 4K anyways.

LG GX9 45" Matte vs 32" TrueGlossy WOLED?

I have a matte LG GX950 next to a LG C2 42 all this matte vs glossy chat is completely overhyped and when you see it in person rather than select angled pictures youll see a difference but one is not better than the other they both have plus and minuses. Gloss sounds and looks impressive at first in

Decided to join the 42" C4 monitor crew. Oh, we big now.

Best gaming monitor I've owned and I have over 10,000 hours on my LG C2 with 4 years of Best Buy Total Membership warranty.

New Apple TV Still Launching This Year

You’ve got a high-end TV, so maybe the built-in UI is decent I've got a LG C2 OLED and I cannot stand the native webOS UI. It feels like the stone age compared to an AppleTV.

Is now a good time to switch over?

HDR works fine on Nvidia as long as you’re using KDE and using the proper proton variables PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 PROTON_ENABLE_HDR=1 ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1 I game on CachyOS with an LG C2 42” at 4k120 with HDR where supported and it is glorious.
