Hate is justified for the clunkpad - not because it's a bad trackpad, but because it was Lenovo's first salvo of attacks on Trackpoint users - the people who's loyalty kept ThinkPad relevant in the era of ever more svelte Apple hardware knockoffs. The x9 is the 3rd salvo in the war against the nub.

Let's reach a consensus: The X9 is a good laptop, but should not be marketed as a ThinkPad. We are rallying to defend the ThinkPad tradition.
You're tilting at windmills. I don't think Lenovo will remove the TrackPoint from models like the T14, but if they are going to do it, some "consensus" on this sub isn't going to stop them. HP in my opinionare low end and yezLenovo brand are durable, Thinkpads are the only ones ill buy.
