Migrating to more power efficient mini PCs
My most power-efficient Proxmox node is currently a Lenovo ThinkCentre m75q Gen2 with a Ryzen 3 Pro 5350GE. At least per Passmark this would be ~25% faster in single core than your Dell laptop. It idles at around 7W in Proxmox. Currently running 8 VMs, including Home Assistant and Scrypted with 4 ca

Super cheap mini PC for Batocera?
Get a used office PC like a Lenovo Thinkcentre M75q or HP EliteDesk with a Ryzen 2400GE or even 3400GE if it fits into your budget. Should be small enough to fit into a Sega Genesis while being powerful enough to emulate PS2. I can't speak to the used market in Europe but I know they go for around $

Any recommendations for efficient LGA1151 boards? Trying to stay under 40W idle
From my experience, you get very good value for money buying used office business PCs, and mod them for your needs. The newer model, usually means more energy efficient. For example. lenovo m75q gen 2 mini, incus host idle with 0 load around 5W (32gig ram, 1T disk) HP elitedesk g4 mini, intel 8400T

Chieftec ix-01b htpc build, 3400G, pico psu.
True and reasonable suggestion for more exposure for OP's build. This post is fine here once in a while since this unit pushes ITX to be as compact as possible. I consider it a reasonable alternative to the HP elitedesk 705 G5 and Lenovo M75q-1 and Asrock Deskmini X300.

Seeking recommendations for home PC replacement
Lenovo ThinkCentre M75q Gen 2 Mini Ryzen 3 Pro 5350GE 256GB SSD 16GB RAM Modern dependable hardware with a Zen 3 4-core/8-thread processor. Depending on your router they're even offering Wi-Fi 6 for an additional 10 Quid. You can even add an additional Type C port if needed.

Just picked these up for about 160 including shipping and tax. Will these be good as workstations to work remotely through a client?
I am using this when I am not actively gaming as this Lenovo Neo 50Q G4 (i5-13620H /16GB /512GB SSD) uses about 2040watts while my 12700K /32GB / 2TB / 3070FE system uses about 150watts at the desktop and 370 while gaming.. I got a inexpensive but working "fine" DP KVM to switch back and forth qui

Totalement d’accord ! Infos pour OP, de mon côté j’ai acheté un mini PC (Lenovo M75q si je dis pas de bêtises) 80€ sur Leboncoin avec 16Gb de RAM, i5 7th gen et 256Gb de SSD.
