Is Framework laptops worth the premium? Developer looking for a new laptop
Just to give you another option: I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad E14 with Intel 255h CPU. This cpu might be better than the Ryzen and has a better gpu on top. Max RAM (not soldered) is 64gb. The Screen is my highlight so far. It has about 6-10 hours of battery depending on the workload. I never had any i

Which one is better?
The P14s G4 AMD is better built with a more powerful chipset, but RAM is soldered, and can't be upgraded. If graphic capability is important, 3D rendering etc., then I'd look for a machine either with, or upgradeable to 32GB or higher. Performance of the latest E14 G7 Ryzen 7 250, is comparable, wit

Good school laptop under 1000$
for college you want something light, good battery, and reliable. at that budget id look at the lenovo thinkpad e14 or the macbook air m3. thinkpad if you want windows and a keyboard you can type on all day, macbook air if you want something that lasts 15+ hours on battery and just works. either one

Best Thinkpad for Linux (quiet, light, efficient)
My wife has a MBA M3 - lovely machine, I do have a bit of hardware envy :-) That said, I really like my ThinkPad E14 Gen 5 (intel i5-1335u). Plenty fast for my needs, feels solid, and although it has a fan it seldom comes on and when it does it's quiet. I went through a phase of buying fanless only,

Need a new laptop for university: L14 G4 vs T14s Gen 2
T14s all-metal build, thin and light, fixed DDR4x-4266 16GB RAM, single NVMe drive, decent Intel chipset, but outmatched by equivalent AMD. 2 years older than L14 G4. L14, plastic/metal build, DDR4-3200 RAM will upgrade to 64GB, more powerful AMD chipset, stronger graphics than Intel 11th Gen, suppo

bought a new laptop
It is good enough for web browsing. I have an old Lenovo with Celeron processor and 720p screen. It isn’t great but it is enough for web browsing. Some people just don’t want to buy used items. My $250 thinkpad e14 is much much better but it came dirty with signs of use. OP’s laptop is new, it is ha

Thinking About Getting an E14 Gen 3
Varies by country, but reasonable for a 5 yr E14 G3, but you must verify the fitted display. E14 displays are not the best, and the G3 had 4 options all 16:9 FHD, a 250 nit TN panel, that's worth avoiding. The other 3, all IPS panels - 250 nit, or 300 nit 45% NTSC, or a superior 100% sRGB 300 nit. A

Budget friendly alternative to ThinkPad T series from one of the usual business laptop suppliers? (more info inside)
The E14 gen 7 has been reviewed favorably and i see the intel version without OS with a 240h 32fb 400nit 120hz 1800p screen for 1.159,00 EUR incl. VAT. Make sure to get the 64WH battery https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-E14-G7-review-The-affordable-office-laptop-stands-out-from-the-compe

ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 options?
All E14 Gen7 have two SSD slots. Memory is upgradeable or not depending on CPU architecture, E14/16 is the only decently-priced Thinkpad offering two storage slots. All other models offering this feature are high-priced workstation-grade ones. Go for a model with the Intel Lunar Lake CPUs (258V for

Need one for college. What y'all thinking any of these good?
G2 isn’t going to be worth it at that price - you could find one refurbished for less than half the price. If you don’t mind losing modularity for a stiffer chassis and less weight, the T14s G4 AMD would be a fairly decent on the go option. E14 G7 looks good if you don’t mind a few cheaper points (c
