Is Framework laptops worth the premium? Developer looking for a new laptop
Just to give you another option: I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad E14 with Intel 255h CPU. This cpu might be better than the Ryzen and has a better gpu on top. Max RAM (not soldered) is 64gb. The Screen is my highlight so far. It has about 6-10 hours of battery depending on the workload. I never had any i

Got my first Thinkpad (E14 G7)
Enjoy! I’ve got the same E14 Gen 7 (AMD) and it's been great so far. I installed Windows on mine because I’m just more comfortable with it for school. As for a tip, make sure to set a battery charge threshold in Lenovo Vantage to keep the battery healthy!"

Good school laptop under 1000$
for college you want something light, good battery, and reliable. at that budget id look at the lenovo thinkpad e14 or the macbook air m3. thinkpad if you want windows and a keyboard you can type on all day, macbook air if you want something that lasts 15+ hours on battery and just works. either one

E14 VS. T14
E14 G7 is the more modular, with dual internal NVMe drive support, and upgrade-able WiFi cards, but its metal topped plastic chassis, isn't as rugged as the T14, and its displays are poorer, especially the entry level 45% NTSC. T14, metal sub-frame with a reinforced composite chassis, and stronger h

Best Thinkpad for Linux (quiet, light, efficient)
My wife has a MBA M3 - lovely machine, I do have a bit of hardware envy :-) That said, I really like my ThinkPad E14 Gen 5 (intel i5-1335u). Plenty fast for my needs, feels solid, and although it has a fan it seldom comes on and when it does it's quiet. I went through a phase of buying fanless only,

Need a new laptop for university: L14 G4 vs T14s Gen 2
T14s all-metal build, thin and light, fixed DDR4x-4266 16GB RAM, single NVMe drive, decent Intel chipset, but outmatched by equivalent AMD. 2 years older than L14 G4. L14, plastic/metal build, DDR4-3200 RAM will upgrade to 64GB, more powerful AMD chipset, stronger graphics than Intel 11th Gen, suppo

E14 Gen 6 (AMD) vs E16 Gen 2 (AMD) vs E16 Gen 3 (Intel)

I noticed the difference in battery life I mentioned in notebookcheck's reviews of the two models: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Highly-upgradeable-and-affordable-Lenovo-ThinkPad-E14-Gen-6-AMD-laptop-review.953041.0.html https://www.notebookcheck.net/Len

Anyone managed to get Linux on the Lunar Lake Thinkpad E14 G7? How's the experience?
Hi! I thought exactly the same things after my M1 pro stopped working. Today I bought a Lenovo E14 G7 and installed Ubuntu on it. Did some research before and indeed I could not find much about this specific laptop, but I did read good things about ThinkPad Linux compatibility in general. far everyt
