Ricoh GRIII -> Leica Q2 -> Ricoh GRIV

I’m not sure I understand this post. If you need a wider depth of field, don’t shoot at F1.7. I have a Q3 and a GR IV, I can tell you the Leica sensor, as you might expect from a full frame sensor at its price point, is incomparably better than the Ricoh in low light scenarios. For the scenario you’

Leica Q3 is a beast for photojournalist

Honestly, it covers almost everything. I always have a Sony with a 24–70mm with me, but I only use it if I really can’t get any closer with the Leica. The Q3 is awesome, especially for the image quality and the freedom to crop a lot. I also keep an MJU in my pocket, mostly just for fun. Please reach

I've only got one SD card since I'm just a hobbyist shooting on a point-and-shoot. How about you? How do you handle it?

Humble brag about his leica q3.... which has the same sensor as the a7riv, and a fixed lens... there is a difference between expensive and costly stuff. Costly stuff get you something for your money, expensive stuff dont, you just pay for the name. Thats where leica is. How do i get around the 1 car

Genuine curiosity: What's the appeal of a Leica Monochrome body?

My only Leica is a Q2 Monochrom. I love it. The options it gives me as a daily carry far outweighs the loss of color. Speed, definition and lowlight performance were my main motivations. The pictures are so much sharper than any other 40mp sensor could be. I can take handheld shots in the middle of

Seeking camera recommendations please!

I’d keep the xt-5, but if you must buy a Leica go for a Q2 or a Q3. I own and use three M bodies and they are not more compact, lighter, or convenient to carry or use than the XT5. They’re also harder to use. I mention this only because sometimes people get a vision of a camera in their minds that i

First rumors about a new Nikon compact full-frame fixed lens camera - Nikon Rumors

I’m a primarily Nikon shooter, but I just bought that sensor in my Leica Q3 43 which is specifically for location strobe work and it’s off the chart good. The RX1r III is just stuck with an old lens. A lot of the flaws of that sensor go away when you strap a leaf shutter or fp shutter on.

Buying a travel camera in Tokyo — Leica Q3 vs Fuji X100VI vs GFX100RF

Check out what used cameras Map and Kitamura Camera have on offer. I wouldn’t buy at the Leica official store in Tokyo as it’s a pricey place. I travel often with a Q2 and thing the size is quite good for every day carry. Also the weather sealing is helpful / reassuring for travel. The big sensor is

Favorite Leica

Q3 Monochrom. I have and have used other Leicas.. M11, M10, Q3… and while I LOVE my M11-P if I had to choose I’d let it go over Q3M. The experience of the M11-P is unmatched.. for me.. but I have other cameras that can take a VERY close image to the M11-P. The B&W from Q3M ie like nothing I’ve ever

Leica Q: why not a Q35?

the real reason is because the regular q is 28mm, so having a 28 and a 43 makes more sense than 28 and 35 which would be too close. leica has historially been associated with 28mm very heavily, on most other brands 35 is more popular than 28, but more leica shooters use 28 than 35. maybe if the q li

Would you choose the Fujifilm X100VI for the film simulations over the Leica Q3 43 ?

Leica Q3, the 28mm. 43 is to tight for me and you have the resolution with the 60mp sensor 28 is much more ideal for an everyday carry imo. The film sims are fun, hell I made a whole sub Reddit and multiple YouTube videos about them but they aren't the end all be all and they are a bit of a novelty
