Thinking about switching from Fujifilm X-T5 to Leica Q2 / Q3 – am I chasing sharpness or a different look?

I’ve been down that exact path. I started with the X-T5, sold it for a Leica Q3, then moved to the Q3 43, and eventually landed on a Hasselblad X2D II. Each move made sense at the time, and I’m genuinely grateful I was able to afford those moves, but it was still gear acquisition syndrome doing its

Can someone pleeeeeeease explain the fascination with Leica cameras?

Try one and see. I thought the same thing then I got my hands on a Leica M2 and instantly saw why. Right now I have hella different cameras all brands and the one I reach for the most is the Leica Q3. My canon and sony cameras beat it by a lot in terms of autofocus and features, but the Q3 is just a

Leica Q vs M11

The Q343 produces the sharpest images I’ve ever seen. The APO lens is just crazy good. To get that level of IQ, you’ll need to use APO 35 / 50mm M glass or any of the APO SL lenses. You get an extra stop on the Q3, but it wont be as razor sharp as the 43, but sharper than 95% of the cameras out ther

Q3 43 vs Fuji X100VI

TLDR version: I own both. Buy the Q3 43, it costs more but that’s because it’s much, much better. I wanted a decent quality, carry everywhere camera - better image quality and better ergonomics than an iPhone but lighter than a Z8 with lens. I’d previously had an X100T, but had never really got on w

Would you choose the Fujifilm X100VI for the film simulations over the Leica Q3 43 ?

I’ll be real with you. On this sub you’ll probably get a ton of answers like the ones you’ve already got from people that have never shot Fuji or the x100. I have a Q3 and an X100vi (and an R5, not relevant only to say I have experience in many systems and I’m not biased). Since I got the x100vi I h

Leica Q3 is a beast for photojournalist

Honestly, it covers almost everything. I always have a Sony with a 24–70mm with me, but I only use it if I really can’t get any closer with the Leica. The Q3 is awesome, especially for the image quality and the freedom to crop a lot. I also keep an MJU in my pocket, mostly just for fun. Please reach

Why Leica?

Two things really. in a world where everything is made to the cheapest possible standards, everything breaks quickly, everything is getting smaller etc, I always seek out proper, made to last, well built items. I just love the robustness, weight, quality and care taken on Leica cameras. the experien

Lumix S9 Long-term Review (2nd Review after 400+ days)

To be fair, the S9 didn't get the love it deserved. It's really an amazing camera, not perfect, but still amazing. I mean, it's really small, and on the video side, with a dummy battery in room temperature around 22 °C, I could record 1h20 in 6k open gate. Considering the size of the camera and the

My first Leica 🥹

Had a similar journey from X100V to Q3 and missed the film sims alot in the beginning but the quality difference is just leagues ahead. I regularly use the chrome on Leica Looks.

I own a Q2 and love it but.. 43 is tempting.

I owned a Q2(it was my first Leica) and it’s a stunning camera. If i was in a position to keep it I would’ve, but I traded it for a M10-R and now a M11-P. For me I love the wider focal range and the 28 was on the fringe of that, I missed the 21mm. Now that i’m blessed to have a 35mm lux fle, Im shoo
