Q3 43, Q3 Monochrome, Q3 - which one
Fast good 50's are cheap. Fast wide Leica lenses are not. Embrace cropmaxxing. Shoot em wide, I vote for the Q3 28.

Leica Q vs M11
The Q343 produces the sharpest images I’ve ever seen. The APO lens is just crazy good. To get that level of IQ, you’ll need to use APO 35 / 50mm M glass or any of the APO SL lenses. You get an extra stop on the Q3, but it wont be as razor sharp as the 43, but sharper than 95% of the cameras out ther

I own a Q2 and love it but.. 43 is tempting.
I owned a Q2(it was my first Leica) and it’s a stunning camera. If i was in a position to keep it I would’ve, but I traded it for a M10-R and now a M11-P. For me I love the wider focal range and the 28 was on the fringe of that, I missed the 21mm. Now that i’m blessed to have a 35mm lux fle, Im shoo

X2DII or go deeper into M?
I stopped using my Leica M system completely. Hasselblad XD2/XD2ii and 907X. I just take street/landscape/portrait and pets. For pets, with the animal recognition AF it is a godsend. To me, the XD2ii + 55V or 38V is not significantly larger than a M camera with lens and it comes with AF and great IB

Question about leica q3 43 and sharpness/clarity
It is the APO design lens. I own the Q3 28mm version and when I tried out the Q3 43 at the Leica booth at the photography fair I was shocked how immensely sharp that 43mm lens is.The Q3 43 is perfect for landscape, architecture etc. if you need a lot of details. For portraits I rather put a diffusio

The difference between 28 and 43 is insane
I bought mine earlier this year - I wavered quite a lot as Leica don’t make the model I wanted - a Q3 43 Monochrom. In the end I went with the Q3 43 and I’m so glad I did. The images it produces are simply stunning, and B/W conversations are superb. I grew up when 50mm was very much the standard len

If dlux is a Panasonic then is M11 a Sony with no autofocus
not exactly, the point of a rangefinder is maniy having a rangefinder mechanism which compeletely changes how you use the camera and its a unique mechanism than anything else, although the sl3 is basically an a7riv for more money. also the native m mount makes rangefinder lenses shorter since you do

Switching from Nikon to Leica: M11 or Q3 (or both)? Looking for advice.
Although I can’t comment on moving from DSLR to the M or Q system, I can comment on having the M and Q duo. My take on the Q is it’s essentially a 28mm summilux, or APO, with a free camera body. The prices are vastly similar for lens alone versus Q3. If you’re in the market for similar lenses, I thi

New Sony Camera announced: RXR1 III (A Premium Full-Frame)
It is technically cheaper than the Q3, but for a bit more money you'd get a Leica. Say what you want about them, but they are definitely a luxury brand with luxury build quality, looks and a certain brand cachet. And Leica glass. And Leica color science.

The Summilux 28 1.7 on Leica Q is quite good or I'm not compatible with M System
Very few M lenses match that sharpness. From Leica, try the 28mm Lux (sharp, great micro contrast and caracter - thus not as perfect), 35 and 50mm apo (fantastic colors, very sharp). There might be others, but haven’t tried them. I personally prefer the M lenses I mentioned vs. the Q3, although the
