Worth a thrift shop risk? [$500]

I have this exact machine and really love it. I bought it for $200 in generally really great shape and it came with a portafilter. $375 is a lot especially w/o a portafilter. Given the ubiquity of La Pavonis and ease of sourcing parts, you can get a pre-millenium for about that price or a bit more a

Best Espresso Machine under $2k? [$2,000]

I came here to say this! I agonized over getting into home espresso and espresso milk drinks for 10 years, and ended up with a la pavoni europiccola from ebay (dated 1991 but clearly never used / was just counter art). I can dial in shots easily with a 1zpresso k max, total set up is less than 1k. M

What purchase felt expensive at the time but was completely worth it?

If we're talking coffee machines, I bought a LA PAVONI EUROPICCOLA. It was about $1200, so a little more expensive. But it's very reliable and self serviceable. No plastic parts, steams milk and makes amazing coffee. You can make your espresso coffee any way you like it. It's not automated in any wa

Experiences with La Pavoni Europiccola (or La Peppina) ?

La Pavoni Europiccola for 160 bucks?? Cheapest one near me is 370. That's a steal, even if you need to replace some gaskets and whatnot.

Espresso in a dorm room

If you want really compact, I would buy a Picopresso. But given you’ll be there for a while, tbh I’d invest in a La Pavoni Europiccola.

Europiccola lusso VS special: which one do you recommend?

The manometer is basically just needed to know if your machine starts drifting out of factory’s specs and needs a descale or a adjustment to the pressure switch. La Pavoni pre sets the pressure switch to 0,8 bar in the recent years in the factory. There is no much need to even change that in my opin

Do any coffee enthusiasts know where I could find a decent budget-friendly second-hand espresso machine in Vienna?

I got a GCP off of willhaben for 100€, got super lucky of course. If you pay with Paylivery, you're safe. You can also look for machines in Vienna and take a look yourself. A weird, yet great machine you could look for is the La Pavoni Europiccola. There's a lot on the market it makes 10/10 espresso

Budget beginner setup: girlfriend doesn’t want a Breville. Now what? [€1000,- ish max]

Tier 1 (Cheap): Dedica or Bambino Tier 2 (Best value for money): Gaggia Classic, Rancilio Silvia Optional tier: Cafelat Robot, Flair, La Pavoni Europiccola/Professional Honestly a La Pavoni lever machine would fit that kitchen perfectly
