If you're only playing in a living room, then I'd go with studio monitors. Honestly, unless it's a pretty large room, 5 or 7 inch monitors are probably fine. About my monitoring setup for UKG production
I have a pair of KRK Rokit 7's but I often end up using headphones (Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro) to mix on. This is mainly because my studio space is really awkward and treating it would be very difficult (and probably very expensive!). I've taken mixes I've done to my mate's studio which is really nicel
