Korg Minilogue XD speakers

Why would you want a soundbar, or rather, why wouldn't you want dedicated monitors? For half of the price of that soundbar, you can have a very nice pair of monitors: KRK Rokit 7/8s (if you want some more saturation and lower end boost) or Adam T7V (if you want to hear exactly what your synth is doi

Best studio monitors for House & Techno?

If you're not concerned with accuracy, then you don't need to go with studio monitors, but not all of them are truly flat. I have the KRK 7" G4 and looking to add the 10 G4 subwoofer, but if I was just DJing I'd buy a pair of Mackie Thump Go plus their 8" sub. At least those would double up as porta

Subwoofer with bulging capacitor - Best option?

Capacitors are through the board and soldering is easy compared to other surface mount components. Buy new ones at mouser farad rating must be same voltage and temp rating higher is better if the board has enough space get a higher voltage rated one. Low esr ones are better. Caps have a line on them

ADAM vs Kali

Rokit 7 g5’s. KRK’s have come a long way, the G4 was almost perfect but had too much hiss. G5’s are awesome. Would get Kali if I had to choose today, I think. But I mostly use them for listening so I just want them to sound good and give me a good musical experience and I feel like my Rokit G5’s hav

Speaker Recommendations? (PA vs Monitors)

If you're only playing in a living room, then I'd go with studio monitors. Honestly, unless it's a pretty large room, 5 or 7 inch monitors are probably fine. If you are worried about "thump" then consider adding a sub. I use a set KRK Rokit 7 G4 for home playing and I'm happy with them. Think I twea

About my monitoring setup for UKG production

I have a pair of KRK Rokit 7's but I often end up using headphones (Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro) to mix on. This is mainly because my studio space is really awkward and treating it would be very difficult (and probably very expensive!). I've taken mixes I've done to my mate's studio which is really nicel

Hey everyone, I’m deciding between Neumann KH80 DSP and Kali IN-8 V2 studio monitors and would really appreciate some real feedback. My situation: Small/medium room I produce electronic music (deep / melodic house) I currently use KRK Rokit 7 G4, but I feel they lack detail and accuracy I usually mi

Disappointed by KRK Rokit RP5 G5 monitor in comparison to old ADAM AUDIO F5

With little experience i gathered until now in sound world and considering your taste as its described partly in main post and also asking price and while i read almost all replies and since you don't search for 8" woofer then i think that Adam T7V, Mackie MR624, JBL 306P, Focal Alpha 65 Evo, Preson

Building a system for modern 'dance' music - is a high end system worth it?

Yeah, I think I have the 8010a's. They're boxed up somewhere - I had them in my studio room many moons ago. They weren't the best listening speakers. Come to think of it, I remember somebody I knew had KRK Rokit 7's with a sub, and they were pretty meaty in a small room... I'd almost forgotten these
