Here's how forced RTO went this week.

I would recommend looking into getting a Kobo over a Kindle. I just bought the Libra Color to switch over from my Kindle so don't have any first hand experiences but I don't want to support Amazon as a company anymore. From what I have heard, the Kobo is cheaper and has more features than the Kindle

So I spent most of my weekend downloading 13 years of kindle purchases to my pc and so I collect my new kobo tonight after work. Dumb move Amazon. You would have had me for life.

I ordered the Kobo Libra Colour. Honestly, I’m happy to get out of the Amazon ecosystem. Monopolies shouldn’t exist, especially for books.

Is Kobo better than Kindle?

I think everyone has personal preferences, and if you like your kindle, there's no reason to regret or have buyer's remorse or anything! The kindles are good devices and they have convenient access to a huge amount of books, kindle unlimited, and library books (if in the US). A lot of people don't l

Opinion: Kobo should plan to release Libra BW as soon as possible

It's something I've been thinking about since they discontinued the libra bw version. I would love an e-reader like kobo libra color with 7", buttons.... But in bw because I don't like the color feature. Hopefully at some point they will bring it out.

Kindle -> Kobo why?

I switched from Kindle (Voyage > Oasis > Paperwhite 11) to Kobo Libra Colour because Kindle doesn’t have a legitimate contender for a premium ereader anymore. My Kobo has buttons, highlights in color, and lets me annotate on the page (also in color) instead of kindle’s little note box, and I would h

Items that made your life so much easier/saved time?

the QOL difference between a kobo and a kindle is crazy. my kobo is so fast with way less ghosting, the battery life is significantly better, the libby integration is so nice as someone who only borrows books and doesn't buy them, and my kobo libra color has this really great slightly raised edge wi

Are you team Kindle or Kobo?

Kobo. Far more consumer friendly, nearly equivalent ebook stores, ability to repair your own device. Plus physical buttons (on at least some devices, I have a Libra Color).

Just got my first Kobo - kind of regretting it after years with Kindle

I switched from Kindle Oasis to Kobo Libra Colour and will try to answer some of your questions. You can change the screen zones from the settings, I can't remember what the default was but I have the whole middle part for the menus not just the bottom of the screen, and you can drag from the top to

Kobo Clara Colour

E-readers generally have terrible quality control. A lot of units aren’t uniform, especially devices with Kaleido screens. I recall seeing a post in one of the e-reader subreddits of Kobo Libra Colours stacked together and none of the screens were the same shade, some being noticeably colder or warm

SO GRATEFUL I last minute returned the color and kept the BW

I have a Kobo Libra 2 (BW) and got the KLC for Christmas. After just two days I made the decision to return the KLC; I’m so happy with my BW and how crisp the screen is. I definitely still want a colour device, but I’m going to wait until there’s some more advancements in the technology. Enjoy the W
