What’s your favorite e-Reader and why?
Kobo Libra Colour. I don’t personally want an Android based e-reader since I prefer my reading be distraction free, so I’ve always been partial to a dedicated device. I love annotating and highlighting books in different colours with the stylus, the physical buttons and the streamlined interface. It

ReMarkable is in trouble and future doesn't look bright
A Kobo Libra Colour with a stylus cost less than 300€ and is amazing as a notepad. No subscription needed.

Switch to Kobo
hiiiii. im a Kobo devotee but it's mostly because out of the US, only Kobo has overdrive/Libby access. I would go with whichever device allows me to use my library in my country, personally. you can use a pen/stylus with the Libra colour to annotate directly into your books which is a big temptation

Kindle to Kobo?
I switched from Kindle to kobo and prefer kobo. It has a better UI, no ads anywhere, and overdrive integration. I downloaded all my kindle books before Amazon got rid of the download feature, so they were easy to de-drm with Calibre. I'd advise that, even if you stay with kindle, you download and ba

New Kindle ScribeColorsoft 2025
As far as the colors are concerned on the screen, Amazon is portraying them to be more vibrant (like an LED or LCD screen) than they actually will be on the device. It's very deceptive, but such is the company... The tech used is kaleido 3, this tech is a bit different than gallery 3 (used on the pa

Recommendations for reader/writer.
1/ the perfect e-ink tablet does not exist and you should definitively not indulge in this search because you will spend a lot of money chasing an illusion 2/ e-ink is always a question of making compromises If you want Gcalendar sync you will need an Android based device. Are you ready for that ? I

Help me to find an ereader that is good to take notes
Kobo Libra Colour + Kobo stylus 2 Or replace the stylus with the Metapen M2 from Amazon, almost the same but less expensive. This is a much better option than any Kindle because Amazon platform is extrememy closed now. Its note taking software designed by Myscript is excellent. It is a color e-ink d

Kobo v kindle
Have both. Kobo libra color dominates my time. Great proportions, great UI and the fact that I have a writing device at hand also is a bonus. Kindles are also good, don’t get me wrong, but I like to be part of a more niche e-reader community. There are heaps of YouTube videos of people flipping over

Boox team listen up - here's why USI 2.0 is dreadful
I got enough shit in my life I have to charge. I don't wanna charge another pen. It's not a solution for me. My kobo libra colour has a pen that I have to charge. Given I rarely use it ok. But when I do need to charge it, it's an inconvenience. I don't wanna think about that. I have the Boox Note Ai

Any help/reco on what I should buy?
If you want to annotate directly on the pages of books, then the Kobo Libra Color is pretty much the best device for that. Other readers will let you annotate, but not typically directly on the book, it'll be through like screenshots and pop up boxes. Directly writing on the pages of the book is why
