New PocketBook: InkPad One
Honestly? Kinda underwhelming. I've been hoping for a higher resolution upgrade to the InkPad Lite (9.7 inch, 150 ppi) but this is only 226 ppi while basically everything else is 300. And no page turn buttons. It's basically the same specs as the Kobo Elipsa 2E, more of a note taker than a reader.

PLEASE give me a big "yes" or a big "no" on some of the devices I'm considering
I used to love the idea of a color e-reader, even suggested the Kobo Libra Colour a few times. But once I was hands on with one and saw how much worse the screen is in comparison to its BW counterparts, I gave up on the idea for now. Unless you like reading graphic novels that need color, I would su

Update 3.23
Same for me, I came from the Kobo Elipsa 2e that had no software improvements in the year I had it (and damn it needed it...). Remarkable already improved so much from the point where it was when I bought it. I also see all the software improvements as huge bonuses.

New PocketBook: InkPad One
It's basically the same specs as the Kobo Elipsa 2E, more of a note taker than a reader. Yeah, this was a bit disappointing. I was hoping it would be a bit more powerful, especially since it's propped as a note-taker. Real world usage might be different if they've REALLY optimized the experience...I

If you are looking for an eReader this Christmas, there is one from Europe - Pocketbook/Vivlio
every e-ink producer is color right now Nope. The Kindle line is still largely BW, and other well known options like Pocketbook or Boox still produce BW equivalents for each product line unlike Kobo, where they only have BW for their entry level device (Clara BW), and their giant outdated tablet fro

Kobo v kindle
Ya, that's fine, I'm not arguing that the Kindle is better for large custom epub libraries, I'm arguing against your point that the Kindle isn't a good fit for people living in other countries. I use Calibre too, and with the Kindle plugged-in you can transfer 100 books at once, super easily, and it

So smartphones suck and there's nothing obviously worthy to upgrade to these days. What about eink phones like Boox Palma and TCL NXTPAPER?
I feel that my phone overwhelms me these days. To the point where it feels good to not use it at all. Then I remembered the time when I used to read a lot on my phone and it was honestly the calmest time in my life, right now I want to get back to it but I dont know how. Browsing through this sub ma

Värt att köpa kindle istället för fysiska böcker?
Har en Kobo Elipsa 2E, men jag tror den är för stor för att bekvämt läsa, och mitt användande av den för projekt har löp ut så jag tror kanske att jag borde skala ner till en Clara.

Ask Me Anything About My E-Ink Tablet Collection
Personally I only experienced one or two dead pixels on the Boox Max Lumi2 several years ago (2021). But its not all that noticeable and it I can still use it absolutely fine. Everything else has been perfect - part of my testing is to shade in a whole page of a notebook in black and this would high
