KEF Q3 Meta vs KEF Q350

KEF claimed the nominal impedance of the Q350 to be 8ohms just to indicate that they are compatible with most receivers. But they even say in parentheses next to it that they had a minimum impedance of 3.7 ohm. Meaning according to IEC spec, they were not actually 8 ohm speakers. They were more like

Replacing amplifier (Kenwood KA3020) - advice needed

You were using an entry level AVR so it’s not surprising the sound quality may have been lacking a bit. You don’t need to spend an arm and a leg to get a decent amp. A popular a/b like the Yamaha A-s301 or even a-s501 would be a great option. My opinion is allocate your budget to the speakers first.

I'm legit teary-eyed over here (new Q350's)

Like you, I have have had some great KEF experiences. I Started w/ Q150. I then compared Q150 vs Q350 in a retail setting. Somehow I lucked into some KEF R3 w/ significant cabinet damage. I bought them for $200, expecting to have to build all new speaker cabinets. After getting them home and further

Center channel & sub suggestions - 5.1 Setup (Q950, Q350)

Those KEF centers are 2.5 way. A lot of folks doing measurements have evidenced issues with comb filtering there. The Q150/Q350 do not suffer this issue, so they work quite well. I'm using an LS50 center with my R3s and love it.

What should be my next upgrade?

I recently got a pair of Kef Q350 speakers and was very happy with their bass (big upgrade from my previous speakers). But when I integrated my new (to me) SVS SB-2000 Pro it added such an amazing depth and richness to the sound. Turning the sub on and off is like switching between skim milk and who

What made you stop hunting perfect sound?

Eh, I got my KEF q350 L&R and q650 center about 6 or 7 years ago, also grabbed an HSU VTF-2 mk5. Some randos for rear surround. I haven't had a chance or lived in an area where I'm able to just go demo high end audio equipment, which is probably a good thing for my wallet. I've been incredibly happy
