$3000-$4000 System for Metal, Rock and Jazz - Wharfedale Evo 5.4 / Monitor Audio Silver 500 / KEF Q11 Meta? Help needed!
I'll chime in here even though it's not exactly what you're shopping for: I previously owned the MA Silver 300's and have since upgraded to the KEF R7 Meta. The Silver 300's were more 'fun' but noticeably forward in the upper midrange and the highs did get harsh when played loud. The KEFs are much m

Speaker Demo - Day 1
For a room that size, you're going to need a beast of a loudspeaker to fill that size of space. You'll also need a multi-subwoofer bass system if you want solid, in-room bass response. The KEF Q11 Meta towers and two or more RSL Speedwoofer 10S subs is a good solution. Besides being a damn good subw

Floorstanders that don’t need a sub, $2k or less.
The KEF Q11 Meta have a port tune around 34Hz. So you're closing in on full-range. I wouldn't say they are very sensitive to positioning. But if you want stronger response below 50Hz, you probably do want to place them closer to the wall: https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/kefq11meta

2-way + sub vs 3-way with large bass drivers
In practice, there aren't that many floorstanders capable of competing with a subwoofer. A whole bunch of subs can produce output well below 20 Hz, sometimes you see even flat response all the way to 10 Hz in measurements, though considerable room gain may be involved for that. Modern active subwoof

HiEnd for cheap, possible?
If I were you, I'd be looking into Wiim Amp Pro and some known to be neutral speakers. Right now, I think the best speaker in purely bang-per-buck term is the KEF Q11 Meta speaker. https://www.spinorama.org/speakers/KEF%20Q11%20Meta/ErinsAudioCorner/index_eac.html No subwoofer needed, just input the

Advice buying new speakers
I recently got a pair of KEF Q11 Meta's and really love them, they have a nice balanced sound, good kick in the bass and they actually need to be placed close to a wall for best performance, which makes them room friendly. You might look at the R5 Meta in this price range. If you are looking at a fu

Decided to bite the bullet and measure my room. Looking not too bad? Thoughts?
I actually meafures my new q11 metas last night and got a shockingly similar graph. For me it's too much treble roll off and too much 40-100hz boost. I run them off a Yamaha as801 and with the tone controls was able to boost the treble flat but the bass is harder to tame. I don't have side walls any

Buying advice: 2 floorstand speakers €3.5k
I'm not super familiar with the speakers in your list, but I do agree with the previous comment on the monitors vs. the B&Ws for bass response. In that price range and being in EU, I'd have a good look at the new KEF Q11 Metas. 3 way, plenty of bass, nice wide sound stage with the uni-Q. I am a dieh
