KEF Q11 Meta Underpowered?
Your KEFs are 4-ohm speakers that drop to 3.2 ohms at certain frequencies, making your Denon (and most AVRs) a poor match, especially if you are using other 4-ohm KEFs for the other channels. Fortunately, your Denon has preamp outputs for the front mains, so you can add an external amp for the Q11 M

The warning remasters sound amazing?!
Agree. I’m on KEF Q11 Metas with 500w hypex amps and it’s an absolute eargasm.

$150 Sony towers vs KEF R3 Metas
I have q11 metas, and when I was using my nad c328 which is I think 50w into 4 and 8 ohm they sounded okay I guess. I upgraded to a Yamaha as801 which is I think 100w into 8 and 185w into 4 and ya they really came alive then. Kef need a decent bit of power to work as they should.

Just bought KEF Ls50 speakers and I don’t know what amplifier to buy
Buy the best Yamaha you can. They almost double power into 4ohm which is what you want to see when running kef speakers as they are demanding. Perhaps the a-s501 is in your budget? I have an a-s801 on kef q11 metas and it was a significant upgrade over the NAD c328 I was using before.

Help me build a respectable setup!
The KEF Q Meta line is pretty power hungry so I’d avoid using them for the power amplifier. I have a schiit saga+ with a single tube as my pre andI like it overall, have owned it for several years. Just ordered a new tube to see if it makes me like it more. I don’t think they are making this model a

I heard (almost) every KEF Meta speaker in existence, here are 8 key findings
I did some more research and my opinion leaned towards the Q11 Meta. The price is the same and the Kef seems better and its warmer, but one thing that worries me is the 4-ohm impedance. I'm a beginner at this and I'm learning how to set up a home theater, I don't know if the Denon X3800H can handle

Decided to bite the bullet and measure my room. Looking not too bad? Thoughts?
I actually meafures my new q11 metas last night and got a shockingly similar graph. For me it's too much treble roll off and too much 40-100hz boost. I run them off a Yamaha as801 and with the tone controls was able to boost the treble flat but the bass is harder to tame. I don't have side walls any
