Bedroom Studio Monitor Upgrade

Did you know JBL makes reference monitors? A 708p is $3500 and a 705p is $2000 for a single speaker. That’s Genelec prices. I know that’s not in your budget but I just installed some of these JBL’s. A stereo pair will kick you physically.

Stereo music playback in large space, like a 1000 sq foot film soundstage or studio, but only covering 200 of photographic set area. What is the best loud speakers to use, where to place them?

Kef LS50 don’t go that loud and are a bad idea. Look at the pics of LS50 delaminating themselves. If you do use LS50, make sure to high pass them. I would use JBL 708p or Genelec 8040.
