PA as FRFR?
Dude, I was running JBL 308P Studio Monitors with Yamaha NS-SW300 subwoofer on top for my PC desktop. Bought the Headrush 12 inch FRFR units for jamming with my brother(he drums, I strums). Out of curiosity I tried them as desktop speakers. You know how there's only a handful of studio monitors peop

Stuck on purchasing studio monitors
JBL 308p? They seem to be an incredible value, and with the 8” woofer they go pretty deep. You can often get them at a discount (or even used on eBay), too.

Any experience with purchasing from Rockville audio
If you can I would get the 308P, it's so much better and probably doesn't cost that much more. https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/jbl-308p-mkii-studio-monitor-review.17338/ https://noaudiophile.com/JBL_LSR308/ B-stock from JBL is only $181 each. https://www.jbl.com/pro-b-stoc

Smallest Bass Speaker?
I have a pair of JBL 308P MkII on my desk and I'm often surpised how well they sound but I'm also going though an Anagram and with normally a cab sim on. Does it compare to Rumble 100 on the floor next to it no.. but there are times I actually do perfer the monitors -- more when I'm learning a new s

Best speaker for mixing in untreated room?
What's your problem with the Adams? I think any of these speakers will be decent and if you don't plan on treating the room, I'd just choose the cheapest of the bunch with the largest membrane since you won't profit much from better detail playback. I've been using Adam A5Xes for a long time and oft

New Monitor Speakers
You want <= ~7" speakers to hear some real bass. HS8 is good if you like clear mids, JBL 308p for more beef at the expense of accuracy. Focal is both hi-fi and studio. Some people like Kali - the JBL splinter group.

Adams T8V vs JBL 308
These are anechoic measurements, both measure and should sound decent but the JBL might have some edge here (at least in regards to mk2) in regards to linearity & directivity, Adam has slightly more bass extension but i'd argue mostly negligible. If you intend to do EQ or room correction the Adam mi

Garden party PA advice?
For so small of space, I would opt for powered studio monitors, like the JBL 308P. You can produce concert level sound from these. If you want great support for the low end, then add the sub they designed to work with these. That said, if you really intend for just background music, you really don't

Does a Subwoofer Make Sense for a Digital Piano?
The JBL sub made to go with those monitors (LSR310s) is excellent. You need to tune it in yourself (setting the level), which can be tricky but doable with a little patience. If you have someone to help you, then it can be easily done in a few minutes (just ask a friend to change the settings for yo
