JBL 308p? They seem to be an incredible value, and with the 8” woofer they go pretty deep. You can often get them at a discount (or even used on eBay), too.

JBL 308p should be great. Or maybe you could consider LP8 as well. IN8 would be cool for mixing but might not have the same fun vibe.

Here is your annual (weekly? daily? hourly?) reminder that the Neumann KH120 and KH80 exist. The KH120 is ideal but out of your budget. JBL 308P MKII would be my budget choice for this. However (and this isn't insignificant) you need a volume conrol between the ProJect and the powered speakers. Topp
