New B&O Speakers
For a smart speaker brand, it's great, and I definitely can't argue with the bass output. But bass frequency alone doesn't make a good speaker. The Apple Homepod can do 20Hz at 10dB higher than the Sonos Five, that doesn't make it a good speaker. For accuracy and overall sound quality it's still eas

Stuck on purchasing studio monitors
JBL 308p? They seem to be an incredible value, and with the 8” woofer they go pretty deep. You can often get them at a discount (or even used on eBay), too.

Any experience with purchasing from Rockville audio
If you can I would get the 308P, it's so much better and probably doesn't cost that much more. https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/jbl-308p-mkii-studio-monitor-review.17338/ https://noaudiophile.com/JBL_LSR308/ B-stock from JBL is only $181 each. https://www.jbl.com/pro-b-stoc

Most minimal way to join in on the audiophile fun?
What is your budget? JBL 308p (customer returns) for $340 is a pretty good entry point. https://www.proaudiostar.com/2x-jbl-308p-mkii-customer-return.html edit: at $2k budget I would troll USAudioMart. I was able to get some Revel F206 for $1k, but you need to wait and be willing to pick up to find

Powered speakers for record player that can double as computer speakers?
Here is your annual (weekly? daily? hourly?) reminder that the Neumann KH120 and KH80 exist. The KH120 is ideal but out of your budget. JBL 308P MKII would be my budget choice for this. However (and this isn't insignificant) you need a volume conrol between the ProJect and the powered speakers. Topp

Dimple in woofer gasket
Kali LP-8 I think these are quite a bit more expensive than the JBLs? I see some pretty good discounts on the JBL 308P MkII. I think $400 for a new pair is possible if you hunt feebay enough. $400 would be about my absolute max I'd ever spend on a powered speaker. And even at that, I'd rather invest

Best speaker for mixing in untreated room?
What's your problem with the Adams? I think any of these speakers will be decent and if you don't plan on treating the room, I'd just choose the cheapest of the bunch with the largest membrane since you won't profit much from better detail playback. I've been using Adam A5Xes for a long time and oft

Powered speakers for keyboards, dual-purpose: practice space and very small venues
If you are serious that this is primarily for practice and/or smaller spaces, I would offer a different direction. Keyboards have the widest frequency range output of any instrument - so having solid support for the whole range is key. For what you are describing I would consider some larger powered

Studio monitors for Amp sims
65 Evo naturally moves more air than KH120. And JBL 308p will push even more air, and is cheap enough to blow up and buy another. Since you're 80% playing, according to your other posts, if you are asking the same question again, you could get a 250 W 10" powered PA instead. Or Rokit 10-inch three w
