I'm not here to argue, but I used to own them. They were my first standalone speakers except for some rando pc speakers. They were a HUGE upgrade for me and I loved them.... Before I got my JBL LSR 306p MK2 and I realized what I was missing, midrange is very important for enjoying any music I'd say.

Please don't buy Presonus, they are atrocious. Look at the: Kali Audio LP-UNF (275$ on sale) Adam D3V (350$) Adam T5V (440$) Kanto ORA4 (450$) JBL 306P MkII (500$) Kali (any other models) You'll be glad you did. Hope this helps

For $800 you could get a WiiM Ultra used as a preamp with JBL 306P v2 powered speakers. That would be a banger of a second system.

“Heavy” doesn’t play much of a roll in monitors. Budget does. At that budget I recommend the JBL LSR 305p or 306p

A lot of monitor selection comes down to preference and how one listens. Ideally, you would audition these speakers. I listened to SCM12 and SCM20 in my search for better monitors and ended up with SCM20. Maybe you can contact ATC and inquire about replacement parts availability for T16. I haven't h

Good because they suck and don't qualify as a "good audio system". Unfortunately there are no good speakers for 200 dollars, unless you get something used that's a good deal. Kali lp-6 v2 or jbl 306p or Adam t7v, something like those steps you into actually good audio.
