TLDR: X4 Air is $300 USD right now, which is $150 less than the X5 and the DJI Nano is $300 right now which is $80 less than the Go Ultra (so those two are not much more than what the X5 normally costs). Yes the 360 camera is more versatile in my opinion - I use it more than any of my other cameras.

Car or camera? I’m done with insta360. They don’t support older cameras which is really annoying. I’ve owned 2 GOs, OneR, OneRS, X2 and X4. Love the 360 cams but the GOs are just too pricey.

TLDR; If these are the options I would go with the X3. I wouldn't really worry too much about stifling creativity, unless your child already has a massive youtube/tiktok following already. Some things to consider...creativity will come from experience in using a camera or camera gear and learning th
