Gamer chairs have terrible ergonomics and the build quality is often ass. People only think they're good because they've only used something like a wooden kitchen chair or an Ikea Markus. Proper office chairs are far superior.

The Ikea Markus is shit. If it's fits you out of the box that's great, but for the majority of users having an adjustable base, adjustable arm rests and adjustable lumbar support is a requirement so chairs actually fit us.

I woiuld advise against an Ikea desk chair. I've had the 1st and 3rd one. I build at my computer desk, so an office chair. I actually just bought a new ergonomic chair, a Flexispot ErgoX. Pretty good, with lumbar support that borders almost on the too aggressive side. But it's miles better than my Ikea Markus chair.
