iLoud MTM MK2 vs Genelec 8010 — which for a small untreated room?

This is not a meaningful comparison. The Genelecs’ build quality is much better, with an enclosure made from aluminum and a high resale value even after years. But the 8010 model is designed as a size marvel first, sacrificing low end extension and SPL. The iLoud MTM can play much louder and lower a

Computerphile explaining DSP, cool but what are those speakers?

Maybe the iLoud MTM in white. Only good MTM that comes to mind at a desktop form factor. They measure great for their size, but are pretty expensive.

T7V or MTM mkII?

The iLoud MTM are optimized for size, with a minimal enclosure volume. If you just need decent sound quality, the Adams are the smarter choice since you can use the rest of the budget for a subwoofer. That said, at the price point of the iLouds you’d be near the range of a pair of Kali IN-8 v2, whic

What monitors are you rocking and do you rate them?

I went from KRKs to iLoud MTMs and the difference was huge. I happened to get mine on sale right when the MTM Mk2s came out, and bought those too to compare them. The difference between the Mk1s and Mk2s was so substantial that I returned the much cheaper Mk1s and kept the Mk2s. Definitely recommend

Best Rack-Mountable Speakers for Mac/PC?

Just mount them on the wall, or put up a speaker-sized "shelf" for each on the wall. Put them at ear-height, and form an equilateral triangle between you and the two speakers. Put a bit of acoustic treatment below each speaker to decouple them from the stand/bracket/shelf. I don't recommend putting

iLoud MTM MK2 vs Genelec 8010 — which for a small untreated room?

If I didn't care about size I think I would go for the Kali in-8 2nd wave because everyone hypes them up like cracy. That being said, I do have a rather small room and its not treated yet. I am also not planning to blast music very loud because neighbours. That's why I kinda let go of getting bigger

Recs for bookshelf active reference studio monitor?

Terrible name, incredible speaker: take a look at the iLoud MTM speakers. (They have nothing to do with Apple). I use them as my normal production station speakers and I love the way they behave, and they really are the quintessential I Can’t Believe Such A Big Sound Comes Out Of Those Little Speake

Has any company made a little speaker with big speaker sound?

ILoud mini, iLoud mtm, Devialet phantom all get lots of “amazing sound for the size” reviews.

Need speaker recommendations for my laptop/Ableton set up.

If you want something smaller then I'd have a look at the iLoud MTM Compacts

Studio Speakers For Practice

The name is a little silly, but the iLoud MTM speakers punch waaaay above their weight class for how reasonably sized they are. Get a pair and never understand how you could live with just MacBook speakers ever again.
