I don’t want to sit upright. I want a chair that supports this.
You need seat tilt and probably independent back recline, to a deep enough angle, both lockable. It's achievable, but double check all those points, there are a lot of chairs that only have some of those. I have a secretlab chair that lets me sit like this or even more reclined, though my head isn't

Looking for a new chair, considering Humanscale Freedom (UK)
I know this was posted 6 months ago but I came across the post looking for discussions on this chair. I was given one by my employer during lockdown when they decided to do away with the office lease when everyone started WFH. They had a stash of chairs in storage which they then had to either dump

Best ergonomic chair for programmers
I've gone through so many computer chairs that it's actually embarrassing. I had 2 Aerons and they were genuinely awful for me. The sides of the chair would dig into my back after a few hours because the mesh just doesn't have enough support to hold me properly. I had a Humanscale Freedom chair too

This is the most comfortable posture. I know this is a bad sitting posture but I can’t stop doing it.
Yup! It’s such a bummer, I could never sit upright on those regular classroom style L chairs and it translated to the office chairs as well. It’s funny because I just got into this hobby, I had a busted AKR racing chair with a bad cylinder yet it gave me less pain than these office chairs. I got sup

Ergohuman Ultra Mesh V2 - A waste of time and money

Best premium options with headrest and recline.
In your position it’s more about finding the right chair for your body. You’re mostly going to be getting a “good” chair in this price range but some will fit you better than others. For reference I have a humanscale freedom at my office and I despise it. It just does not fit my back. I have the emb

What chairs you guys using to code with?
I’ve had many, many, computer chairs. I’ve had two herman miller aerons which ended up being terrible. The sides of the chair hurt my back after a few hours of sitting as the mesh isn’t strong enough to hold me back. I’ve had a humanscale freedom chair which caused me back problems. I’ve had a Secre

Humanscale Freedom Leather cushioning amount and longevity? Opinions of Embody users?
The leather version looks the best, but it is significantly less comfortable than the normal version. It depends on how much you use the chair. My butt started hurting after 1–2 hours in the leather version, after 4–5 hours in the normal version, and the gel seat only started hurting after 7–8 hours
