I don't see many comments addressing your AI/LLM interest. For $2000, Apple's hardware will be better than anything you can buy in an x86 laptop for $2000, due to the unified memory. Why doesn't Apple have any normal competitors in the laptop space?
'Performance Per Watt' is Apple's marketing claim. It does that because it's all it's got.
