How concerned should I be over the vagueness of these specs?
Can you provide the link to the website you're trying to order from? I don't think 8 GB is enough for some modern games let alone for any kinda of work. You should look into HP pavilion plus, but if you need a widescreen then there's the asus vivobook 17 X series.

Any idea whats causing OLED display issue
Display on my HP Pavilion Plus 14 OLED 7840u started flickering. Similar issue occurred a couple of months ago but then it got resolved itself. Any idea what might be causing this, is the display damaged or something related to a loose connection
