I've got the hori steam controller. Think it's called the HORIpad. I love it, it has all the steam buttons on there & it has the familiar Xbox layout I like.

The best controller is the steam horipad! Made specifically for the steam deck and has a dedicated steam button as well. And any 3rd party dock with hdmi 2.1 output will work (as cheap as $30 on amazon).

Controller recommendations couch multiplayer
Imo you might want at least one horipad for steam. This controller has a dedicated steam button and the steam deck recognizes it as player one without switching controller order.
