What espresso machine did you start on, and would you recommend it to a beginner today?

I started with a Hibrew H10B (their smaller 51mm model.) It was fine for espresso but the steaming power was just really lacking, probably because of the weak thermoblock. From there I bought a used Delonghi Stilosa for $45 and it has been an absolute beast, that and the ECP are great starter machin
