Looking to put a HomeKit camera on front of house in the place of a floodlight. What cameras wire in and don’t come with a plug?
Okay that makes sense. The google nest floodlight wired in so it was great but I want HomeKit video now, sick of nest. I guess I can wire in a plug myself it’s not that hard. Electricians in Ny here want like $800 to do the 10 min job

Why are people disconnecting or destroying their Ring cameras?
I have a google nest floodlight and never use it because I switched to a new router and in order to connect the camera to the new router I have to get a ladder and go up to the camera, take it down and scan the or code. Im not motivated enough to do that. So now its just a very pricey floodlight.

What size PoE switch do I need for three security cameras and future PoE lighting?
Call me old fashioned, why not run 120V AC to the floodlight cameras? It is the same amount of work as running an Ethernet wire. You do it once and it just works.
