Nest Cam with Floodlight

I left Nest for the same reason. Everything worked well, but I saw how Google was planning to kill Nest. They have Google Home branded products now, but I don’t trust them to not somehow kill the product line or service. That’d be such a headache for smart devices installed onto a wall, like floodli

Not to defend Google (I have plenty of similar complaints about them) but my nest cam with floodlight is working fine. Maybe you just have a faulty one, or maybe there's some back end issue with your account? Either way, sorry you're dealing with this.

I've got the Google Floodlight camera and have had no issues with it for a number of years. I've got the standard Nest Camera inside my house but it is technically an indoor/outdoor camera and again, no issues with it. Okay that makes sense. The google nest floodlight wired in so it was great but I want HomeKit video now, sick of nest. I guess I can wire in a plug myself it’s not that hard. Electricians in Ny here want like $800 to do the 10 min job

I have a google nest floodlight and never use it because I switched to a new router and in order to connect the camera to the new router I have to get a ladder and go up to the camera, take it down and scan the or code. Im not motivated enough to do that. So now its just a very pricey floodlight.

I don't pay for Google Premium and still haven't had an issue with either camera. I actually have an old iPad Air mounted on a wall that I keep Google Home near permanently opened on with live views of from both my Nest Doorbell and the floodlight camera.
