Best Mini PC to Buy Right Now? (Performance, Value & Reliability)
After ]some trials and tribulations](https://www.reddit.com/r/MiniPCs/s/0bSGxIvXaP) I ended up with the GMKtec K8 Plus. Until I got the SER9 wasn't aware of the differences in Chinese market processors. Was misled to believe the only difference was an inactive NPU. I should have known better as my n

GMKtec K8 plus vs K12 vs K16?
Its all about processors in 3 different builds. The K16 7735HS is a rebadged Rembrandt 6800HS from 2022. The K12 H 255 is a lower quality 260/8845HS for the Chinese market while the K8 Plus 8845HS is fully authentic and supported by AMD. When I was searching for my mini last year I wanted more perfo

Is this mini PC worth it ?
Giving the current cost of RAM, yes. However, I don't trust the quality build of that brand of mini-PCs. GMKtec K8 Plus is the same with better quality build. Similar pricing too.

There's Gotta Be a Catch...
There are some differentials here beyond the wholesale Chinese manufacturing market. https://a.co/d/0eDYu30J If you pay close attention the DDR5 is 4800 where the demand for DDR5 DRAM chips are for sticks supporting 5600MT/s or greater. GMKtec is taking advantage of a slightly less competitive whole

Mini PC Recommendations?
The best quality, features without a cheap Chinese processor in my opinion is the GMKtec K8 Plus. Out of the ones I inspected when making a decision I found the K8 Plus the easiest to service. My neighbor has owned two of these for over a year and there's not a complaint between the group of us. Ama

Mini Pc runs Diablo 4?
The largest thing that's changed in the last 4 months is $600 not necessarily buying what it used to 😞 I paid $520 for my GMKtec K8 Plus at the beginning of November last year That's currently a "limited time deal" for $630. I'm really enjoying the K8 Plus with Radeon 780M graphics and all its featu

Are there better options than this?
I personally find the flip screen somewhat of a "gimmick", but I've yet to get a G-FLIP PRO 8845HS in front of me. When I work with a PC I tend to inspect and repaste out of the box. You'd be surprised at what I found over the years. I had fear the display panel would make disassembly more complex c
