u/Mrkawphy So, the VRR/YUV 4:4:4/4k120Hz/FPS HDR (full Ultimate GFN features) are what make these computers expensive, and hard to find, as we have to use Intel or NVIDIA GPUs (AMD doesn't support HEVC YUV 4:4:4 decoding in hardware), with capable HDMI 2.1 FRL ports to connect to the TV. I ended up

[B0T] Weekly Build Help Thread - 2026/01/05

I could maybe look at getting the GMKtec K15 instead. It has the Intel Core Ultra 5 125U. Plus, it has all kinds of upgraded features over the N3 Ultra. I just don't know if I want to spend the extra $170 or not.

What differentiates W680 motherboards?

That is a lot of money for memory but you must be serious about this type of setup. Its still advisable to ask the guys over level1tech forums for the best advice for your requirements and overall usage. But if you wanted the best of the best, its still the ASUS Pro WS W880-ACE SE and Intel Core ult

Fun mini PCs with unique look (for HA)

AceMagic has a couple funky ones but they're only available in extremely specific configurations and are usually a little pricey. They're also WAY overkill for HA. They have one that looks like a unicorn threw up on a gamecube and I think there was a spaceship at one point. AceMagic apparently also

GMKTEC NucBox K15 Mini

Ordered via the .com website, I chose a specific day on FedEX for delivery, would have arrived sooner here is the tracking. So far I am impressed with k15 i have the OCulink port hooked to a 3060 12g, it is bulkier than my M7 Pro but as i said very impressed with both offerings from GMKtec.

Mini PC for Light Gaming

Most with a $600 budget have moved on to the smaller die size AMD Ryzen processors in recent years for more power and performance. Someone I know at the college bought a GMKtec K15 that they're satisfied with although it's recently went up in cost since they're purchase. Maybe look at the Geekom GT1

Budget is $400 what is the best mini pc I can get ? (for creative projects-like Davinci and light gaming-like skyrim)

These 2 are going for about $350 (barebones). They both come with OCulink if you need more graphic-power. GMKtec NucBox K15 Mini PC Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 125U OR GMKtec NucBox K12 Mini PC AMD Ryzen™ 7 H 255

Mini PC YUV 444 HDMI 2.1

u/Traditional-Guide-58 The GMKTec NucBox K15 is an option as well. It currently seems easier to find AMD mini PCs with the proper HDMI 2.1 FRL ports (compared to Intel), but then YUV 4:4:4 is lost since no AMD GPUs can decode that.
